Do tábora přijíždí plukovník Lacy, jehož jednotka má díky jeho nezodpovědnosti a touze po slávě nejvyšší procento raněných. Lacy se chystá za cenu velkých ztrát dobýt nové území a Hawkeye se mu v tom snaží zabránit. Nakonec mu přes B.J.ovy protesty vyoperuje slepé střevo, čímž ho na několik dnů vyřadí z boje.(TV Nova)
