Šéfinšpektor Barnaby s manželkou Joyce odchádzajú na relaxačný víkend do kúpeľného hotela. To však ešte vôbec netušia, že víkend nebude taký pokojný, ako dúfali. Keď sa Joyce ide oddávať floatingovej terapii do bazéna, nájde tam mŕtvu Kitty Pöttingerovú, budúcu sponzorku kúpeľov. Majitelia kúpeľného hotela sú manželia Phoebe a Luke Archboldovci. Tí majú dlhodobý konflikt so susedkou Mirandou Bedfordovou, bývalou Phoebinou kamarátkou, ktorú sa teraz snažia vyhnať. V rovnakom čase zmizne bez stopy aj Kenny Pottinger, manžel zavraždenej Kitty...(TV JOJ)
