Doktor McKay sa pri skúšobnom lete s opraveným vesmírnym lietadlom zrúti do mora. Predné sklo praskne, jeho pilot zomrie a on zostáva uväznený v zadnej časti lietadla. Na Atlantíde sa pokúšajú určiť jeho polohu, ale on sa zatiaľ potápa stále hlbšie. Začína upadať do bezvedomia a v halucináciách sa mu objavuje Samantha Carterová.(TV JOJ)

Miestni ľudia odčerpali priveľa geotermálnej energie do generátorov obranného štítu, a tým vulkán aktivovali.
