Detektiv Murdoch vyšetřuje náhlou smrt cyklistického závodníka Joea Fentona. Byl přitom rovněž účastníkem téhož závodu, aby v něm vyzkoušel nové hypermoderní řazení svého kola. Fentonův manažer, Chippy Blackburn, se stává hlavním podezřelým z vražedného činu. Doktorka Graceová má však značné problémy při zjišťování pravé příčiny závodníkovy smrti. Doktorka Ogdenová jí při řešení rovněž pomáhá. Předpokládá, že důvodem nečekaného konce závodníka bylo krvácení do mozku. Julia se také chystá k prodeji domu svého zemřelého manžela Darcyho Garlanda, ale zjistí, že jí v tom cosi brání...(Česká televize)
